1. What got you into teaching? I have always loved learning new things and in high school I realized I wanted to help others love learning.
2. What do you like most about teaching at Riverside Prep? I love the community that we have at this school between all the teachers, staff, and students.
3. What do you like most about teaching the grade level you teach? What's the biggest challenge? I love watching students learn to love reading. The biggest challenge is keeping up with all of my students' energy and excitement!
4. What's your favorite moment in teaching? My favorite teaching moment so far was watching a student quickly make two grade levels of improvement in his reading scores, all because I helped him find a series of books that he loves.
5. What does it mean to be the Elementary School Teacher of the Month? I work with so many creative and dedicated teachers. I am so thankful that I get to collaborate with other awesome teachers that have helped me become the teacher I am.
