Classified/Support Staff Employee

Anna Price
Anna Price
Position: School Administrative Manager

Years at Riverside Prep: Eleven
1. What do you do at Riverside Prep Elementary? I essentially do everything nobody wants to do. I handle discipline, ASB, field trips, events, rallies and maintaining the calendar.
2. What do you like most about working at Riverside Prep? I love the kids here. My favorite thing to do is to walk around the campus and they come up and say hi and call me Ms. Price or Ms. Anna. I buy snacks and keep them in my office for anyone who needs them, and I work with the Women's Assistance League of Apple Valley and the County to collect backpacks, clothes, shoes, just anything that our students might need.
3. What's your favorite moment at Riverside Prep? I had a student who lost a parent and they wrote me a letter afterward thanking me for helping them through their grief. I still have the letter. That's why I got into this job, to help students, and I think I've touched a lot of lives.
4. What's next for you? Retirement (Anna officially retired right before Winter Break in December). I wanted to work another five years, but I'm a cancer survivor who was recently diagnosed with more health issues and I want to spend more time with my family and my grandchildren.
5. What does it mean to be the Classified/Support Staff Employee of the Month? It's funny, because I got Employee of the Month, along with Carlos Madera, about five or six years ago, but they stopped the program right after. So it's nice to get it again as I'm leaving. It's been quite a ride. I've loved working here and I'm going to miss the families and the relationships I've made over the years. I'm proud to have been part of Riverside Prep.
