The School Office provides a variety of services to parents and students including enrollment information, Obtaining attendance information from parents, working with students who are tardy, assisting parents in picking up students from school, working with faculty to get notices out to parents, and communication with parents. In addition the staff works with students who are ill or injured, schedules appointments with principals and otherwise functions as the communications center for Riverside Preparatory School.
School Administrative Manager
Ms. Price is the School Administrative Manager at Riverside Preparatory Elementary. She has been with Riverside Prepatory for fiveyears and has 16 years of experience working at an elementary school site. Ms. Price was hired as the School Office Manager at an Elementary School in Apple Valley and worked there 11 years before coming to Riverside Prepatory in July 2008 as our Office Manager. She was promoted to School Administrative Manager during the 2009 school year and was also covering the School Office Manager position. Ms. Price is currently the School Administrative Manager and is in charge of supervising Proctors and handling most discipline at the elementary site.
My name is Adriana Roberts. I am the School Office Manager for the Elementary office. I previously worked for twelve years with Adelanto School District in various positions. I earned a dual Bachelor’s degree from California State San Bernardino in Human Development and Psychology, then I attended Walden University where I earned a Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology. Currently, I am working on my Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology at Walden University. On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my husband of twenty five years and my son and daughter-in-law. I also enjoy gardening, photography, fishing and reading. I look forward to an exciting second year at Riverside Prep.

Mrs. Nelda M. Colvin has earned a Master’s Degree in Science Education from California Baptist University and Bachelor’s in Science Education from the University of Arkansas. She holds three Professional Clear Credentials in California: Administrative Services, K-12 Mild/ Moderation Special Education and K-8 Multiple Subjects. Mrs. Colvin has 26 years of experience in Education.
As a teacher, Mrs. Colvin has extensive training in Program for Effective Teaching, Teacher Expectations and Student Achievement, Laubach Literacy Action Tutor to teach non-reading adults to read, and Peer Mediation student conflict resolution. As an Administrator, Mrs. Colvin has experience in providing In-services on Instructional Strategies, training on writing IEP’s and Behavior Support Plans, Scaffolding Math and Reading, and Curriculum Writing for Math and Science, and Grant Writing.
Her educational philosophy is: Every student can learn to their full potential. Educators need to utilize every effective teaching strategy to ensure all students are learning and being academically successful. A partnership between the school and the parent is crucial for students to be academically and socially successful.
This is Mr. Higgs’ 3rd year with Oro Grande School District/Riverside Prep and 2nd year as Director of Maintenance and Operations. Mr. Higgs has an extensive background in construction, having worked as a self employed contractor and a union carpenter. He attended Orange Coast College and later New Mexico Highlands University on a full Football Scholarship, he is in the process of completing his Bachelor’s degree, and looks forward to starting a masters program in the near future. Mr. Higgs is happily married and has 3 wonderful children. In his spare time he enjoys golf, hunting, all sports and trips to the river with family and friends. Ms. Krissy Lundeen currently serves as the Payroll Clerk for the Oro Grande School District. She has worked with the OGSD for five years and has been familiar working with schools since she started as a cross-age tutor in 8th grade at John Muir Middle School in Corcoran, Ca. Currently she is attending Victor Valley College to earn a degree in business. In her spare time she loves to bake, read, spending time with her family, laugh and make others laugh, and collecting John Deere tractors.

Started at Oro Grande School District in July 2007, worked previously at Apple Valley School District for two years and in the private sector prior to that.
Mrs. Reeves has an AA degree from Barstow Community College and a School Business Management Certificate from the CSUSB Extended Learning Program.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, going to the lake, for rides in the desert, vacationing, gardening, and working around the house and yard.

Mrs. Thomas has worked at Riverside Prep for 2 years. She has 3 boys that have attended Riverside Prep since it opened, a 6th grader, 9th grader and 12th grader. She loves being able to share with new families Riverside Prep’s core values and project based learning style. When she is not working at Riverside Prep, she is busy being the Mayor of Adelanto. She loves to spend time with her family camping at the beach.

Mrs. Turnbull is the Student Data Support Analyst at Oro Grande School District. She comes to us after starting out as the office manager at the middle school. She has 35+ years of experience working in offices with the last 12 years in the schools. She is the mother of six children and a nephew all of whom live on her pistachio farm in Lucerne Valley.
In addition to working full time, Mrs. Turnbull is a proud Lion Club Board Member, a member of the Board of Trustees for the Lucerne Valley School District, and a Board Member for the Mitsubishi Cement Corporation Education Foundation.
In her spare time you may find her making fresh butter with the cream from her cows, fresh food from her gardens or home made soufflés with the eggs from her chickens.

The Office of the Administrative Services works with issues related to the Board of Trustees, the CEO’s Cabinet, Payroll, and Personnel. It is headed by Mrs. Julie Raff, Director of Administrative Services. In addition to her other duties, Mrs. Raff acts as Executive Assistant to the CEO.

Ms. Julie Raff currently serves as Director of Administrative Services for Oro Grande Elementary School. Ms. Raff has been employed with the District for ten years. Prior to coming to Oro Grande School District, she worked at Trona Joint Unified School District for twenty-one years in Business Services. Ms. Raff’s responsibilities include Assistant to the Board of Trustees and Superintendent, payroll, human resources, and health and welfare benefits for the District and sponsoring Charter Schools.
